Think Tank
Think Tank. Aside from pure, untouched, glorious, beautiful nature to gaze at and absorb with, I love totally impractical, one-chair, minimalist spaces, so empty, so seductive and so peaceful to escape into…
Maybe it’s just one room in the house where you can close the door on the madness to think, regroup, pace, draw, read, strum, make notes, visualize and create a wildly imaginative and exciting future… Undistracted.

My next place will be all rooms like this. What serenity! It makes me want to lay down right now!
I slept in a hammock for just over a year when I was in college. All I had was a stack of books, a guitar, and a hammock. The simpler days.
A stack of books, a guitar and a hammock. Sounds a little like my kind of bliss David…deep sigh!

Love the rocking chair. This space, your space, this blogs space is inspiring me to create an empty, lovely space myself. Where only that which is precious remains. Thank you so much for the inspiration. Love reading this blog and look forward to each post. God bless

I love the simplicity! I want a place with huge windows, peaceful colors and no clutter. My bf and I have been ridding our stuff to travel and it feels GREAT!
It is fabulous isn’t it? Looking forward to updates on your travels OLMeg!
All of those spaces were so inviting! The complete and utter lack of clutter makes my heart and soul happy! The red chair screams for me to come to it, book in hand, and drape my legs over one of its arms! When I’m able to purge even more stuff, a separate calming area is definitely in the works.
Thank you for sharing these great spaces!

I looove your description Tammy. Book in hand with your legs draped casually over the red chair’s arms. Thank YOU for making me grin today.

I Love the beauty in simplicity, but I’m not convinced of my utter comfort, Pea. I’m reading 26 books concurrently for my thesis, and I need soft landing pads
‘Tis serene loveliness, though…

Okay…maybe…
but I find if there was a sofa lurking unseen and to the right of the pictures I personally would eventually migrate there and be snoring like a baby! No, for my own think tank I would like yes to be comfortable but awake and sharp!

I love seeing these uncluttered spaces they are really beautiful. But I couldn’t live in a space like it – for me it would ruin the image.

Woah! Are these too feminine? Maybe a couple of them – but not all – not sure I understand why it would ruin your image. You come across as quite clear minded and succinct on your site I would have thought it was right up your street Chris…ah well. Next time maybe.

Pea, Perhaps I was a little cryptic.
What I should have said was – That if I lived in any of these places I would clutter them up. I like things to be to hand and putting everything away in a cupboard would never do.
I don’t think they are too feminine. I am a keen photographer and I know that uncluttered simple photos are generally the best. They create there own beauty.
Hope I’ve been a little clearer.
p.s If I haven’t, it’s probably because I have a cold.

This is sad to say, but the most minimalist room in my house is the bathroom. I like bathrooms to be neat and tidy, but the rest of my house…well, let’s just say, it could use a minimalist make-over.
But I do see your point. When I look at those pictures, I sigh. They look so peaceful and calm. Perhaps in my next life time:~)
I did a guided meditation one time and in it, I lived in an uncluttered house at the beach. If memory serves me right, it was all white — white tile on the floors and a nice warm white on the walls. I was dressed in this long blue-purple caftan that touched my toes. Sitting on my glass table was this giant computer (don’t ask me why) and I had a perfect view of the waves rushing in, rushing out, rushing in, rushing out… It’s was a nice meditation. Kind of like visiting your site:~)

Ah Sara, bless your little toes, how kind. I actually think why not this lifetime? Isn’t it funny that when you sought solace and calm in your meditation your mind built the place that brings those things to you…
